Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the dropping of paint and uneven coating by dividing a paint supplying pipe into 2 parts, i.e., one end part and the other end part of the axial direction of the body of a roller, and attaching an automatic switching valve to supply paint to the upper part when the supplying pipe is set on vertically.
CONSTITUTION: A paint supplying pipe 1 is divided into a part 1a supplying the paint to the one end part of the axial direction of the body of a roller and a part 1b supplying the paint to the other end part. When the paint supplying pipe 1 is set on vertically, a steel ball 11 inside an automatic switching valve 10 interlocking junction pipes 7a, 7b connected to the both ends of the supplying pipe 1 through L joints 8a, 8b with a T-pipe closes an inlet 12b. Therefore, the paint is transferred with pressure from the downstream port 12a only to the part 1a of the paint supplying pipe 1. The paint also flows into the part 1b by its gravity, so that the paint is supplied uniformly over the whole surface of the body 2 of the roller.
