Abstract

PURPOSE: To operate a hydraulic unit at a predetermined speed regardless of changes in hydraulic oil used in conjunction with projection-molding machines by expanding or retracting a metal valve element in its valve according to the temperature of the oil.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 21 having a conical end is held on a valve seat 25 formed in oil passages 22 and 23 in a valve body 20 with a necessary clearance. The rear end of the plunger 21 is threaded into a busing in the valve body 20. Thus, as hydraulic oil flows around the plunger 21, the plunger 21 is expanded or retracted when the temperature of the hydraulic oil changes. As this happens, since the rear end of the plunger 21 is rigidly held in the valve body 20, only the clearance between the valve seat 25 and plunger 21 is increased or decreased and, in doing so, controls the amount of oil flowing through the valve seat. What is meant by this is that an amount of oil enough to operate a hydraulic equipment at a predetermined speed can be ensured regardless of changes in the oil temperature if the seat-to-clearance is set for an ideal temperature.
