Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the clean-up process by employing an orifice having the cross section of 0.01-0.2mm.<2> and saturating the secondary pressure of the orifice up to the level higher than the atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION:The inert gas is filled from an original pressure Po through an orifice 3, center valve 1 and a piping 4 into a fluorescent lamp 2. The orifice 3 has the cross-section of 0.01-0.2mm.<2> and the pressure PA from the orifice 3 to the fixed side 1a of the valve 1 is saturated to the original pressure Po. Since Pt=VA.Po/ (VB+Vo), VB+Vo= constant, the lamp filling pressure Pt is adjusted by varying one or both of the volume VA and the original pressure Po. The original pressure Po is set higher than the atmospheric pressure. Consequently even when the crack is produced in the lamp, the flow-in of the air can be prevented because the fixed side from the orifice and the valve is higher than the atmospheric pressure resulting in the elimination of the clean-process.
