Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize the consumption of the gaseous atmosphere in a heating furnace and to maintain the amt. and components of the gas always satisfactorily in a fluidized bed type bright hardening and heating furnace of an indirect heating system, by circulating the furnace gas under controlled temp., pressure and components and using the same for a heat source for an annealing furnace. CONSTITUTION:Fluidizing particles 3 are packed in the latter of the front and rear rooms 1a, 1b partitioned by a diffusion plate 3 of a heating furnace 1, and a heat source is disposed. The in-furnace gaseous atmosphere is supplied from the chamber 1a into the furnace 1 which is used for bright hardening. The supply side and discharge side for this gas are connected with a blower 6 so that the gas can be circulated. The discharge side of the circulation circuit is used for the heat source of an annealing furnace 2. In order to assure the fluidizied state in the chamber 1b, the temp. of the circulating furnace gas is measured with a temp. sensor 11 and the decrease in the absolute amt. of the furnace gas owing to natural leakage, etc., is detected with a pressure sensor 9, whereby the flow rate of the blower 6 is regulated. The CO, CO2 or O2 in the furnace 1 is detected with a component detector 10, and the carbon potential of the supply side is so regulated as to make the CO2/CO ratio constant.
