Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out stable operation of a fluidized bed boiler by setting the reference range of the static height of a fluidized medium in accordance with the temperature of a fluidized bed and supplying or discharging the fluidized medium so that the static height of the fluidized medium is within the reference range. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a fluidized bed in a fluidization chamber is detected: when the detected temperature is within a reference range, the static height of a fluidized medium in the fluidization chamber is detected, and a fluidized medium extraction valve or a fluidized medium supply valve is controlled so that the detected static height shall be within the reference range. On the other hand, when the aforementioned detected temperature is outside the reference range, the reference range of the aforementioned static height is modified in setting according to the temperature value, and the fluidized medium extraction vale or the fluidized medium supply valve is controlled so that the detected static height will be within the modified reference range.
