Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a heat-accumulating material exhibiting very little supercooling, having stable heat-absorbing and emitting characteristics, and suitable for air-conditioning, etc., by adding disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate as a supercooling preventing agent to an aqueous solution of sodium acetate.
CONSTITUTION: The objective heat-accumulating material is prepared by mixing 100pt.wt. of an aqueous solution containing ≥50wt% sodium acetate with preferably 0.01W30pt. of disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate (Na2H2P4O7), and if necessary, adding various additives, e.g. thickener such as CMC and sepiolite clay, numcleating agent, agent for regulating the solidifying and heat-emitting temperature, etc.
