Abstract
PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the number of times of cease of function by adding a fixed error correction control section to a storage device possible for one-bit error correction and two-bit error detection, and correctijg the software error of one-bit, after correcting a fixed error in one-bit. CONSTITUTION:If a correction disable detecting signal 16 is generated at an error detection circuit section 6, the signal is inputted to a storage control circuit 2 and also to a data storage circuit 21 of a fixed error correction control section 19 to store a signal in 1-word. The data inputted to a data inversion circuit 20 is rewritten in an address 17 and read out again as a signal 13, and the fixed error is detected with a data 25 prior to inversion at a fixed error bit detection circuit 22. Further, the fixed error is corrected at a fixed error correction circuit 23 and the result is inputted to an error correction circuit 7 as a data 27 after correction. The software error in 1-bit is corrected at the circuit 7 and applied to the circuit 2 as a data 15 after correction. Thus, the error correction having the highest frequency of generation can be made.
