Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize an optical junction surface and to reduce photo loss by a method wherein a pair or more of the same luminous and light sensitive element chips are mounted on a semiconductor base and a part of the emitted light for each pair is supplied to the light sensitive element chip. CONSTITUTION:Transmitting electric signals a are amplified by a driver circuit 1 to drive the light emitting element 8 in a photo semiconductor 12 and the transmitting electric signals are converted to optical signals. Most of the converted optical signals are supplied to an optical fiber 6 through a junction surface via an orbicular lens 10 to form an output b. However, a part of the converted optical signals reaches a light sensitive element 9 by a reflection means 11 to convert to electric signals c by the light sensitive element 9 and the electric signals c are supplied to the circuit 1 through a control circuit 5 as feedback signals for stabilizing the amount of light. In this composition, no optical branch circuit is required and an optical junction surface can also be reduced. Therefore, reliability is enhanced and furthermore, photo loss can be reduced.
