Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise further the temperature of a cooling gas and to recover efficiently the heat energy of a sintered ore, by cooling the sintered ore carried by troughs for carrying sintered ores with a gooling gas that is circulted countercurrently.
CONSTITUTION: The sintered ore 1 carried by troughs 4 is cooled by a gas from a low temperature gas feeding hood 14 disposed under the lower part of a trough 4. High temperature exhaust gas heated here is caught by an inner hood 10 and recovered through a recovering duct 11. On the other hand, low temperature exhaust gas that is not caught by the hood 10 is caught by a hood 5 and a part of the exhaust gas is supplied to the feeding hood 14 through a circulation duct 15, thereby raising further the temperature of exhaust gas. In this way, the heat energy of the sintered ore is efficiently recovered.
