Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for the conventional heat treatment process by removing the residual stress of castings by a method in which the time that a molten metal is cast into molds and allowed to stand is specifically designated.
CONSTITUTION: The time that a molten metal is cast into molds and allowed to stand in the molds is specifically set up to 13W20min so that residual stress casued by excess heat produced in the casing process is removed. Thus, the operating efficiency of the casting process can be raised without the needs for a cooling process in which casting is taken out of molds and cooled, a cleaning and inspection process, and a heating process.
