CONSTITUTION:Oil pressure from an oil pump 92 acts upon a piston 74, if an operating lever 76 is lifted against a spring 84, a fluid pressing piston 62 loses its pressing force to cause pressure of fluid 60 to be almost 0. In this way, an electrode 38 is positioned by positioning pins 36, 42 and mounted. When the oil pressure is removed by a solenoid valve 88, the piston 74 and the operating lever 76 are lowered by the spring 84, and high pressure is applied to the fluid 60 through the fluid pressing piston 62. Thin thickness parts 170, 172 of an electrode holding sleeve 50 are expanded by this fluid pressure to make the displacement to a direction of the center, and an electrode shank 40 is held in an automatically aligning state.
