Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the manufacturing accuracy and obtain high performance by fixing the second end plate on the first end plate, said second end plate having a through hole formed the helical curve in the same shape as that of a lap, putting the lap through such through hole when fixing. CONSTITUTION:A stationary scroll having a lap 19 of a helical curve such as involute and the like is formed integrally on its first end plate and a movable scroll are engaged each other with the lap 29 facing inward, and the movable scroll is rotated against the stationary scroll. The second end plate 21 having a through hole 22 formed in the same helical curve as that of the lap 19 is fixed on the first end plate 20 with the lap 19 going through the through hole 22. The surface of the second end plate 21 is polished prior to the assembly thereby eliminating the need for polishing the surface of the first end plate 20.
