Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce noise by deviating the auxiliary gear tooth form relative to the main gear tooth form by a predetermined amount toward the non-engaged tooth face of the main gear and jointing both the gears through an elastic rubber member while keeping the above-said condition. CONSTITUTION:A main gear 1 is prevented from rotation relative to a shaft 2 by a key 3 and fixed in situ by a nut 5 through a washer 4. An auxiliary gear 6 having the same tooth form as the main gear 1 is slightly deviated relative to the main gear 1 and jointed in situ through an elastic rubber member 7. The rubber member 7 is fitted in the recesses 8 and 9 formed in the side faces of the gears 1 and 6 in a desired number or in an annular shape. In the case where the gear A with auxiliary gear is used as the driving gear, the gear 6 is jointed to the gear 1 while kept deviated by a predetermined amount y toward non-engaged tooth face, i.e. toward the rotational direction trailing side, and the gear A is engaged with a gear B with the amount y compressed to the backlash amount x. Thus, the non- engaged tooth faces are kept from impingement on each other.
