Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop the supply of an eddy current, by prevnting simultaneous power supply to a lamp and fixing heater. CONSTITUTION:When timings of feed to plural AC loads are contentious in the half cycle of AC, feed to the load of the next priority level is started after the completion of feed to the load of the highest priority level in accordance with predetermined priority levels for feed, and thus, the whole of the half cycle of AC is used without indle parts apparently. That is, when the power source voltage crosses the level zero, a transistor becomes conductive to supply power to an exposure lamp. The power supply is interrupted at a phase angle theta to control the quantity of exposure light. After the lamp is turned off, the power supply to a fixing heater is started. Since the exposure lamp is not used when an optical system returns, power is supplied to the fixing heater during returning of the optical system. This power supply is repeated intermittently for the control of a fixing temperature. Since power is not supplied simultaneously to the lamp and the fixing heater when the optical system goes, troubles such as overheat due to an eddy current and the noise at a power supply start time are not generated.
