Abstract

PURPOSE:To decide the position of a ship more precisely and improve the reliability of navigation by combining both the merits of dead-reckoning and omega navigation. CONSTITUTION:The line of a position (LOP) is sent from an initial setting part 1 to an omega receiver 2 and a latitude and a longitude (X0, Y0) are transmitted to an omega position calculating part 5 and an estimated position calculating part 9. After receiving a using omega channel from the omega receiver 2, LOP information, space wave correction value from a space wave correction calculating part 4, and time information from a clock device 3, the omega position calculating part 5 calculates the omega position on the basis of the preceeding total positions from a total calculating part 6 and outputs it the total calculating part 6. The estimated position calculating part 9 receives time information from the initial setting part and the clock device 3, ship speed information from a speed detector 7 and bearing information from a bearing detector 8 and sends the estimated position information to the total position calculating part 6 to display 10 the total position. Thus, accurate ship positions can be determined and the reliability of navigation can be improved.
