Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain accurately a bow bearing from the phase difference between GPS signals, which are received simultaneously by two GPS receieving antennas, by utilizing GPS. CONSTITUTION:The GPS signal received by antenna 1 is led to GPS position measuring unit 3 to obtain the position of antenna 1 on the ground (latitude and longitude). Meanwhile, the GPS signal received by antenna 1 is led to phase difference measuring equipment 4 together with the GPS signal received by antenna 2, and the phase difference between mutual signals of the same artificial satellite out of GPS signals received by both antennas is obtained and is supplied to one input terminal of bearing calculator 5. Bearing calculator 5 receives the position of antenna 1, which is obtained by GPS position measuring calculation unit 3, and the position of each satellite for earth coordinates, which are extracted from receiving signals, by one input terminal and receievs the phase difference between respective satellite signals, which is obtained by phase difference measuring equipment 4, by the other input terminal, thereby calculating and displaying the bow bearing.
