Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of sunlight collection and to reduce the thickness of a collector, by condensing sunlight by using many small-diameter condenser lenses and chromatic aberration correcting lenses that are provided corresponding to them, and then introducing the sunlight into optical fibers that are provided corresponding to the condenser lenses. CONSTITUTION:Many lenses 11 for condensing solar light which each have an about 4cm small diameter are formed in one body as a lens array 10. In this case, a lens 12 for correcting chromatic aberration is adhered to each lens 11 with optical glue 13, and a lens holding member 20 and an optical fiber holding member 40 are formed in one body by press work or injection molding. The array 10, and members 20 and 40, are combined in one body and fixed; and a parallel light beam from a lens side is focused on the axis of a hole 41 through the lens 11 and then introduced into an optical fiber 30 inserted into the hole 41. Thus, the sunlight is collected efficiently, and while the fiber 30 is made flexible, the collector is made with thin and lightweight.
