Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a wide-angle, lightweight projection lens by composing the refraction type projection lens of plastic lenses and glass lenses in combination, giving the glass lenses main power lens, and composing the 3rd lens and 4th lens of plastic cemented lenses. CONSTITUTION:The projection lens consists of the plastic lenses and glass lenses in combination, i.e. a negative plastic lens as a 1st lens 1 having its convex surface on a screen side, a positive glass lens as a 2nd lens having its large-curvature convex surface on the screen side, a negative plastic cemented lens consisting of a 3rd lens 3 and a 4th lens 4, a biconvex glass lens as a 5th lens, and a negative plastic lens as a 6th lens 6 having its large- curvature concave surface on the screen side in order from the screen side. Then the chromatic aberration of the projection lens is compensated by the cemented lens consisting of the 3rd lens 3 and 4th lens 4 and focus movement due to variation in the ambient temperature of the projection lens is compensated principally by the 2nd lens 2 and 5th lens 5. Consequently, the view angle is increased and the weight is reduced.
