Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain data for decision of reacting condition of suspension, by a method wherein ratio of luminous intensity before and after filtration of the suspension is estimated. CONSTITUTION:Light from a light source 1 is passed through a spectroscope 2 and a polarizer 3 and irradiated onto suspension specimen disposed in a light measuring position 4. Parallel and perpendicular polarization components of fluorescence from the specimen are passed through a polarizer 5 which is rotated in 90 deg. periodically by a pulse motor 12 according to command from a control unit 10, and then both polarization components are entered in a spectroscope 6. Light emanating from the spectroscope 6 is detected by a light detector 7 and the output signal is passed through a pre-amplifier 8 and ADC 9 and stored in a memory 13. Filtration of the suspension is carried out according to command from the control unit 10, and after the filtration liquid is transferred to the measuring position 4 similar measurement is carried out and data is stored in the memory 13. At arithmetic unit 14 calculates ratio of both data and a decision unit determines whether or not the ratio falls within a prescribed range, and a display unit 16 indicates the ratio and decision result. In this constitution, data for decision of reacting condition of the suspension is obtained.
