Abstract

PURPOSE: A preparation for immunochemical therapy, prevention of drug resistance or carcinostatic agent that contains polysacchrides or glycoproteins originating from bacteria or algae as active ingredients.
CONSTITUTION: Polysaccharides and glycoproteins originating from bacteria or algae are used as active ingredients to prepare the agent for immunochemical therapy, drug-resistant preventive or carcinostatice agent. The polysaccharides show activities of increasing immune and preventing drug resistance and develop synergism together with known carcinostatic agents, antibiotics and vaccines. As the bacteria and algae, are preferably used Salmonella. Shigella, Chlorella and Scenedesmus. The saccharides are obtained by collecting the cell bodies by filtration of the culture mixture of one of the above microorganisms, crushing them with ultrasonic waves, extracting with a neutral buffer solution and purifying the extract.
