Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain microbeads of uniform spherical form, by calcining and carbonizing a mixture of resins selected from PE and PP as a main raw material and PVC, polyvinylidene chloride as an assistant raw material in a given proportion in a pressurized inert atmosphere at a predetermined temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Any one of the following combinations is prepared: PE as a main raw material with polyvinylidene chloride as an assistant raw material, PP as the main raw material with PVC as the assistant raw material or the PP as the main raw material with polyvinyl chloride as the assistant raw material in an amount of the assistant raw material content in the range of 2W40wt%. The resin mixture is then calcined and carbonized in a heat-resistant container having an inert atmosphere under pressure at a temperature ≥600°C.
