Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the incident direction of condensed laser beam incoming from the condenser mirror to the material to be welded variable and to improve the workability, by making an arrangement to that the mirror is moved and laser beam incoming upon the condensing mirror is moved freely in the directions of X and Y. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam L1 is generated from a laser generator 1, and the laser beam L2 refracted by the first mirror 2 is irradiated upon a point (b) of the second mirror 3. The laser beam L3 refracted again at the point (b) is irradiated upon the central point (b) of condenser mirror 4. The condensed beam L4 refracted again and condensed at the point (b) of condenser mirror 4 is irradiated upon butt welding components 5 and 5 vertically, and welds them. Then, in response to the movement of mirror 2, the laser beam L3 is irradiated upon points (a) and (c) of the condenser mirror 4 and irradiate the components 5 and 5 obliquely. Moreover, by the movement of mirror 1, the irradiating point on the mirror 3 can be moved to points (d) and (e), and the irradiating point against the condensing mirror 4 can also be moved to the points (d) and (e). Therefore, without moving the material to be welded, butt, L-shaped and T-shaped weldings become possible.
