Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate grinding of a roller even in case the pattern is changed and to ensure the lasting repetitive use of a curving roller, by forming the dense mesh hollow parts on the entire outer circumference surface of the roller and setting a resin composition layer at a part of the hollow parts to form a pattern to be printed. CONSTITUTION:The mesh hollow parts 2 are formed by a known method on the entire outer circumference surface of a roller basic material 1', and then a photosensitive composition layer 3 is coated on the entire surface of the material 1' to form a photosensitive layer 3. Then a negative original 4 is put round onto the layer 3, and the layer 3 is exposed to light via the original 4. The area of the layer 3 corresponding to a transparent image 4a of the image 4 is turned insoluble to water; while the area of the layer 3 corresponding to an opaque background 4b is kept water soluble. Such original 4 is dipped into an aqueous developing solution to be developed. Thus the residual coated part B' and hollow exposed part A' are formed to complete a curving roller for roller printing.
