Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce working time, make mass production and reduce the cost of production by elongating a metallic pipe then supplying a working inspection device disposed with plural pieces of stations in a disc shape.
CONSTITUTION: A long-sized blank metallic pipe 15 wound in a coil shape is forced into an elongating die 17 by a feeder 16, by which the pipe 15 is elongated to a metallic pipe 18 of a required size. Thence, the pipe 18 is supplied to a working inspection device 18, and in a station 20, the pipe 18 gripped by a turntable 26 is cut to prescribed length with a cutter. The cut pipe is chamfered on one side with a drill or the like in a station 21, and is chamfered on the other side in a station 22. It is inspected of length in a station 23 and is inspected of inside diameter and foreign matter in a station 24. In a station 25, the product sleeve having undergone working and inspection is removed and ejected from the turntable 26. The supply device, the pipe elongator and the working inspection device are synchronized, whereby the product sleeves are continuously produced.
