Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to operate at high speed with a small quanitity of flow of liquid by a method wherein the excellent telescopic operation is rendered to be realized by operating a switching valve, which switchingly introduces pressurized fluid into the forward motion chambers and the backward motion chambers of the telescopic hydraulic cylinder, and each cylinder is rendered simultaneously to be operated by the pressure difference between its forward and backward motion chambers. CONSTITUTION:The telescopic hydraulic cylinder 1 is constituted as follows: i.e. (1) a primary piston body 4, to which a rod part 5 protruding out of the cylinder main body 2 by piercing through the backward motion chamber 3B is provided, and slidably inserted in a cylinder main body 2, (2) a secondary piston body 6, to which a rod part 8 protruding out of said rod part 5 through the backward motion chamber 7B is provided, and slidably inserted in the primary piston body 4. A hydraulic controlling valve 9 is provided in order to operatioally control said cylinder 1 by means of the hydraulic pressure supplied through a hydropneumatic converter 10. Said valve 9 consists of check valves 13A-13C serving as manual switching valve, a pilot switching valve 20, a check valve 22, which allows fluid to flow from the backward motion chamber 3B to the forward motion chamber 3A, and a check valve 23, which allows fluid to flow from a discharge passage R to a load passage B.
