NEW MATERIAL:A cyclopentene derivative of formulaI(X is H, Cl, Br, allyl; Y is H, Cl, Br, allyl; Z is H, Cl, Br, methyl, nitro, methoxy).
EXAMPLE: 3,5-cis-Bis(2-allyl-5,6-dichromophenoxy)cyclopentene.
USE: It is used as a synthetic intermediate of 5,6,7-trinor-4,8-inter-m-penylene-PGI2, which has strong hypotensive and platelet coagulation inhibiting activity.
PREPARATION: The reaction of a compound of formula II(M is sodium, potassium) with 3,5-cis-dibromocyclopentene of formula III is carried out in the presence of a phase-transtion catalyst in a solvent such as diethyl ether or tetrahydrofuran to give the compound of formulaI.
