Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a steering direction control system which steers can by changing the rotating speed of the left and right rotating members. CONSTITUTION:When a speed command Vr1 is given and a car is travelling straight the steering angle command thetar1 is 0 which is compared with the output of a steering angle detector 34 by a comparator CMP7 and is differentially inputted to the speed command value of the right and left speed controllers SCR1 and SCL1. When a steering angle command is given to make a turn from the straight travelling a signal of the value corresponding to the steering angle command thetar1 is differentially inputted to comparators CMP5 and CMP7. The constants of each proportional element K220-K262 are predetermined to have the size of the signal applied differentially to the steering command and the speed command match the right and left wheel speeds which are primarily determined by the steering angle.
