Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to discriminate both odd and even number of fields stably with good accuracy, by starting the count from the specified time point of a vertical synchronizing signal, resetting it with a relating horizontal synchronizing signal and transmitting the level from high to low level after it reaches a specified amount. CONSTITUTION:For example, in an odd number of field as shown in Figure, an input CU of a counter 12 supplies the result of logical product between a signal V8 having 1H or more pulse width and the reference signal CP in frequency (1/50H)Hz for count, and on the other hand, the horizontal synchronizing pulse H14 is applied to the R of the counter 12 for periodical reset, and the result is applied to A of a comparator 15. The reference value is applied to another B, and if A>B, AH is at ''1''. Thus, the AH pulse is produced at 5H after the vertical synchronizing signal V starts and it is inputted to D of a latch circuit 20. Further, V19 is applied to the input T and the OF is at high level at an odd number field. On the other hand, at an even field, after the vertical synchronizing signal is started, output is made at 4.5H and the OF is at low level. Thus, the discrimination of both the fields can be made stably, without temperature change and noise.
