Abstract

PURPOSE:To give much convenience to code interpretation, by selectively converting a code representing characters into a Morse tone or converting a Morse code into audio information representing characters for output. CONSTITUTION:A code representing a Morse code or character is inputted to a CPU1 via an interface 2 and stored in an RAM3 temporarily. First, when a code representing characters, e.g. the JIS code is outputted in voice, an ROM-D is retrieved based on the JIS code, data are given to a voice synthetizer VS, and voice data corresponding to the JIS code are outputted from a speaker SP. When the Morse code is outputted in Morse tone, the ROM-D is retrieved and the combination of the Morse tone data is given to the VS. When the JIS code is outputted in the Morse tone, the ROM-D is retrieved with the Morse code based on the JIS code and transmitted to the VS.
