Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the accurate measurement of the internal sulphurization state from outside without lifting the contents of a transformer, by flowing the measuring current via a tap switch and comparing the winding resistance at this moment with the winding resistance in the normal state. CONSTITUTION:A tap switch is set in series to the internal winding of a transformer and connected to an external terminal. The winding resistance of the transformer is measured by flowing the <=0.5A measuring current through the external terminal and while switching the tap switch. Then the winding resistance value of this moment is compared with the winding resistance value in the normal mode before production of a sulfide to presume the sulphurization state of the transformer. In other words, it is decided that the sulphurization progresses considerably in case the winding resistance value is larger than obtained in the normal mode. In such way, the internal sulphurization state of a transformer is accurately measured from outside without lifting the contents of the transformer.
