Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of producing hot water with solar energy and enable a circulation of hot water under a natural convection flow by a method wherin a bellowslike curved heat collector plate is arranged at a front upper part of a hot water tank and a heat exchanger unit is arranged at a front surface of the heat collecting plate.
CONSTITUTION: The hot water tank 1 is made such that a front upper part 4 of a main body 3 of a boxlike tank made by a stainless steel plate is left open widely and a heat collecting plate 5 made of stainless steel having a bellowslike shape curved in its lateral direction and inclined downwardly at its front part is arranged at the front upper part 4. A number of stainless steel pipes 6 constituting a heat exchanger unit 2 are arranged horizontally along the front part of the heat collecting plate 5, both the upper and lower ends of each of the pipes 6 are connected to the upper and lower parts in the hot water tank 1, and at the same time a sheet of glass 7 is installed at the outside of the heat exchanger unit 2 and its circumferential edge is fixed to the main body 3 of the tank. Heat absorptive coatings are applied to the outer surface of each of the pipes 6 and the outer surface of the heat collector plate 5. Further water feeding pipe 8 and outlet pipe 9 are cooperatively arranged at the upper and lower parts in the hot water tank 1 so as to complete a heat collecting hot water tank.
