Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the captioned solar heat collector thinner and lighter in weight and to improve the heat collecting efficiency of the collector by a method wherein a flat plate fin attached with a plurality of spaced apart flat plate type heat pipes is provided between the ceiling and the bottom of a heat collecting box and a cooling section is formed by causing one end of each of the heat pipes to project into a water conduit.
CONSTITUTION: The flat plate fin 3 and the flat plate type heat pipes 4 fixed to the lower surface of the fin in spaced apart and in parallel relationship with one another are provided between the bottom wall 12 and the ceiling wall 13 of the heat collecting box 1 which is reinforced by a plurality of struts erected therein. Further, a water feed pipe 5 and a water transfer pipe 6 are provided on the downstream side of the water conduit B and one end of each of the heat pipes 4 is made to project into the water conduit B to thereby form the cooling section. With the above structure, when the heat collector 1 is subjected to solar heat, the flat plate fin 3 is heated and the heat of the fin is transmitted to the heating section of a wide sectional area of heat transfer so as to heat a heat medium. The heat medium heated by the heating section moves upward along the inclined surface of each of the heat pipes 4 to reach the projecting section of the pipe within the water conduit B where the heat medium is cooled as a result of its heat exchange with water and returns again to the heating section. During the above circulation, the interior of the heat collecting box 1 is kept airtight so that the material cost and a heat loss can be reduced.
