Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform speed joints of high transmission efficiency having no vibration even in a large eccentric throw, by arranging a plurality of levers rotatably coupled together by a center shaft, between joints so that both ends of each levers are slidable in a predetermined distance and rotatable in a predetermined angular range together with the joints, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Three pins 2, 2' are planted in joint members 1, 2, respectively, at 120 deg. intervals. Three levers 5 are engaged to these pins 2, 2' through rotary tops 3, 3' so that the levers 5 are rotatable around a shaft 7 in a predetermined angular range, the ends of the levers 5 having grooves 4 through which the ends of the levers 5 may slide in a predetermined distance. In this arrangement, triangles defined by the centers of each joints 1, 2, the center of shaft 7 and each pins 3, 3', are accomodated to be always congruent, through which arrangement rotary motion is transmitted between the joint members 1, 2. That is, no difference in rotational angle is generated between both joint members 1, 2, resulting in that a uniform speed is maintained. With this arrangement, no vibration is appreciated and transmission efficiency is improved even though the eccentric throw is large and the speed is high.
