Abstract

PURPOSE: To widen an eccentricity permissible range of a joint and perform its equal velocity rotary transmission, by interposing an intermediate disc between an input disc and output disc and extending through each disc a pivot for locating a rotary center of the intermediate disc at the central position between rotary centers of the input and output both discs.
CONSTITUTION: Between an input side disc 1 and output side disc 3 an intermediate disc 2 is interposed. To grooves 6, 6' formed in said intermediate disc 2, pins 7, 8 provided in both side discs 1, 3 are engaged to transmit torque. To central hollowed part in each disc 1, 2, 3, a pivot 9 and balls 10, 11 are engaged and coupled by rods 16, 17. Further the input disc 1 and the output disc 3 are arranged so as to provide point symmetry with the intermediate disc 2 as a center. In this constitution, the output disc 3, even if its eccentricity is changed for the input disc 1, can be always rotated at equal speed to the input disc 1.
