Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve accurate display of quality of received electromagnetic waves, by detecting, rectifying and amplifying high-frequency noise included in a demodulation signal output of the received electromagnetic waves and driving a display device. CONSTITUTION:In a radio receiver, reception electromagnetic waves from an antenna 1 are RF-amplified at 2, amplified at 5 at a mixing stage 3 after conversion to an IF signal and a signal detected at 6 is separated into left and right stereo signals at a stereo stage 7. High-frequency noise included in an output signal of the detection stage 6 is detected and rectified at a noise dtection circuit 8 including a BPF, amplified at a DC amplifying circuit 9 and inputted to a correction circuit 10. The circuit 10 corrects high frequency noise generated at the receiver itself and displays the quality of the received electromagnetic waves through the application of a signal to a display 12 via a driving signal generating circuit 11. Thus, various interferences such as multipath interference and beat included in the received electromagnetic waves are detected on the display 12, and an excellent reception state can be achieved by adjusting the tuning state according to the state of detection.
