Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to display the quality of received electromagnetic waves suitably and effectively, by switching and displaying electric field strength of the received elecromagnetic waves and the amount of high frequency noise included in a demodulation signal of the received electromagnetic waves to and on a display device. CONSTITUTION:In a radio receiver, an IF signal level not subjected to amplitude limit of an IF amplifying stage 5 is detected at 8, and a detected signal is applied to the 1st driving signal generating circuit 9. A DC component of an output signal of a detecting stage 6 is detected at 10, the detection signal drives the 2nd driving signal generating circuit 11, and a signal from the circuit 11 is displayed on a tuning display device 12. High-frequency noise included in the stage 6 is detected at 13, amplified at 14 and the 3rd driving signal generating circuit 16 is driven with a signal correcting 15 at the high frequency noise generated at the inside of the receiver. If the tuning state of the receiver is incomplete, a switching circuit 17 is driven with an output signal of a DC component detecting circuit 10 and a signal corresponding to the strength of electric field for received electromagnetic waves from the circuit 9 is displayed on a display device 18. When tuning is made, the circuit 17 is switched with a signal from the circuit 10 and a signal according to the amount of high frequency noise in the received electromagnetic waves from a switching circuit 16 is given to the display device 18 for the display of quality of the received electromagnetic waves.
