Abstract
PURPOSE:To determine conductivity of a substance without contact, by putting the substance in a container which is filled up with liquid having known con- ductivity, and obtaining the difference between the energy of total electric field when a voltage is a regulating potential and the energy of total electric field when the regulating potential is not given. CONSTITUTION:The picture of a fruit 23 and the like is obtained as an electric signal by a camera 24, the signal is given to a digital computer 26, and a finite element model is formed by accumulating outer configuration information. Then the fruit 23 is put in the container which is filled up with the liquid 30 having the specified conductivity and around which a plurality of electrodes 31 are arranged.
