Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a lead battery by employing a block of crystal of lead oxide to form the + electrode thereby improving the conductivity between the lead oxide particles. CONSTITUTION:A high temperature heat source 3 is arranged in the proximity of a lead oxide 1 then surrounded by a heat-resistant blick 2 made of such material having high melting point thereafter an oxygen generating agent 4 is provided at the outside and contained air-tightly in a pressure-withstanding container 5. Then it is heated by a heat source 3 to fuse the lead oxide 1 and cooled to form a crystal. Consequently the conductivity between the lead oxide particles can be improved considerably and when employing it as the + electrode of a lead battery the battery performance can be improved.
