Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive force from acting on the carbureter drum by providing a damper which undergoes elastic deformation when a load is applied after the throttle valve is stopped by a stopper, in a throttle opening transmission mechanism of an automobile. CONSTITUTION:When an accelerator pedal 3 is stepped, the carbureter drum 2 rotates in the clockwise direction, and a tensile force operates on a throttle wire 15. At the ordinary operation time, this tensile force is smaller than a pre-load of a damper spring 21. Therefore, transmission similar to direct coupling is carried out at wire parts 15a and 15b. Now, when the stopper on the side of the throttle valve 9 acts before the stopper of the drum 2 does not act, the tensile force acting upon the wire 15 through the accelerator wire 4 and the drum 2 becomes excessive. However, the spring 21 is compressed and the relative position of the damper ring 19 and damper piston 20 moves, and thus the excessive tensile force can be evaded.
