Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a toner superior in development and fixing performance for repetitive use, by spraying the solution in which magnetic powder and photo- hardening resin are dissolved or dispersed, into hot air current and irrdiating a light to the solution to harden the shell more while vaporizing the solution. CONSTITUTION:The solution in which magnetic powder (such as magnetite) and photo-hardening resin (such as unsatureated polyester) as resin components are dissolved or dispersed is sprayed from a spray exit 1, and ultraviolet rays are irradiated to the solution by an ultraviolet lamp 2. Simultaneously, heated gaseous N2 is flowed into a tank for reaction from a conduit 3 to prevent the stop of photohardening reaction due to O2. A toner of a low molecular weight where the shell is hardened more and the core is flexible is obtained and is ejected from a toner ejecting part. Thus, a pressure-fixed toner is obtained where the production is easy, the pressure-fixing performance is sufficient, the phenomenon of ofset to a pressure roller does not occur, the development performance and the fixing performance for repetitive use are stable, the adhesion onto a carrier a metallic sleeve and a photoreceptor surface is prevented, and the preservation safety is good.
