Abstract
PURPOSE:To make measurement possible in several cases by a method wherein a measuring shutter member with a plurality of movable compartments between inlet and outlet sides for rice is installed so that the amount of rice to be discharged is regulated in proportion as the measuring shutter member is movable. CONSTITUTION:A rice chest is formed with a rice container 2, a rice discharging channel 3 and a rice receiving vessel 4. Fitted in the rice discharging channel 3 are an upper shutter board 6 for opening and shutting an inlet 3a for rice, a lower shutter board 7 for opening and shutting an oulet 3b, and a measuring shutter member 9 coupled with cross-shaped compartments 8 in such a way that the shutter is freely movable upward and downward. Since half portions 3b1, 3b2 of the outlet 3b have been formed in the outlet 3b, rice moves into the outlet for fice 3 when the measuring shutter member is positioned at the level indicated by a solid line, and half of the rice contained in the measuring chamber in the measuring shutter 9 separated by the compartments 8 at the position indicated by a chain line with a dot is discharged, while the whole amount of the rice contained in the measuring chamber at the position shown by a chain line with a pair of dots is discharged. Thus, the outflowing amount of rice can be regulated according to the position of the measuring shutter member.
