Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the redispersibility of a filler after caking, by reacting a precondensate of urea with formaldehyde with an inorganic filler, and forming polymeric particles.
CONSTITUTION: A precondensate of urea with formaldehyde is incorporated with 3W50wt%, preferably 5W30wt%, based on the solid content in the precondensate, inorganic filler, and the resultant mixture is then reacted in the presence of an acid catalyst and neutralized to give fine polymeric particles. The addition of the inorganic filler is carried out in the step before the formation of the polymeric particles, by any one of the following methods: The filler is added to the step after the synthesis of the precondensate, or the filler is previously added to the reaction system or during the course of the synthesis of the precondensate.
