CONSTITUTION: Urea is added to an aq. soln. of urea-form aldehyde initial condensation product contg. a hardener such as phosphoric acid, p-toluene sulfonic acid and a foaming agent such as alkylarylsulfonate, a salt of higher fatty acid in an amount of from 1W20wt% of urea based on the solids of the resin soln. Gas is introduced into the mixture to foam resin. The product is cured and dried.
