CONSTITUTION:To read a file stored in a disk device, a CPU4, when a file name to be accessed is inputted by a prescribed code, adds the code to obtain a two- byte name code by conversion. Then, a command is supplied to a disk driving device 1 to output the name code stored in a name sector. A disk controller 2 converts the name code into parallel data, which is stored in a memory 3. Then, the CPU4 retrieves the name code in the memory 3 to find a code coincident with the input name code of the file. Once the coincident code is found, the CPU4 searches for its full file name and accesses data areas, outputting data successively.
