Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep control from distrubance due to variations of an intake air negative pressure by controlling a throttle valve through a worm wheel driven by a pulse motor in a throttle valve control device using electric signals. CONSTITUTION:When pulse signals are sent to a pulse motor 31 manually by a driver of a motorcycle or automatically according to a load, a worm 33 makes a throttle valve 30 rotate through a worm wheel 34, i.e., the throttle valve 30 is rotated at an angle proportional to the number of pulses fed into the pulse motor 31. Since the worm wheel mechanism is nonreversible, it does not float even if a rotating force is applied to the throttle valve 30 by negative pressure variations, etc. It is also pulled in one direction by a return spring 37, and backlash is abosrbed enabling fine control.
