Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase fatigue strength, to shorten a rotor span, and to prevent vibration in a turbine rotor, by shrink fitting a sleeve of low-chrome steel to a journal part of a reheating turbine rotor of high-chrome steel. CONSTITUTION:A reheating steam turbine plant consists of a reheating turbine 10, a joint shaft 7, a high pressure turbine 9, a low pressure turbine 11, and a generator 12. A sleeve 3 of low-chrome-steel is shrink-fitted to a journal part 2 of a turbine rotor 1 of high-chrome-steel, which is used for a reheating turbine. Since these contrivances dispense with the shrinkage fit construction in a shaft coupling, the fatigue strength is increased. At the same time, since the number of joint shafts becomes minimum, shortening in a rotor span, as well as increase of reliability in vibration can be achieved.
