Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an exact information, by detecting the saturation of a video output, shortening a storage time, and setting the video output to non-saturation. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric converting part 1 is constituted of a shift register 2, an MOS switch array 3, a photodetecting element array 4 and a photodetecting element 5. An output of the photodetecting element 5 is inputted to a non-inversional input terminal of a comparator 9, and an inversional input terminal of the comparator 9 is connected to a common terminal (a) of a transfer switch 10. An output of the comparator 9 is inputted to a clock generating circuit 7, and the clock generating circuit 7 outputs a driving pulse to the photoelectric converting part 1. Also, an output of the clock generator 7 is inputted to the gate of a shunt switch 6 constituted of an (n) channel MOSFET, and the drain of the shunt switch 6 is connected to the photodetecting element 5. An output of the photodetecting element array 4 is inputted to a saturation detecting circuit 8, and an output of the saturation detecting circuit 8 becomes a control input of the transfer switch 10.
