Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic core which is not restricted in width, etc. of a band, by a method wherein the bunch of amorphous alloy bands bonded via unhardened thermosetting adhesive to a lamination with a plurality of pieces is heat-treated after pressure molding in a metal mold. CONSTITUTION:The band 1 is made of amorphous magnetic alloy with width in several millimeters and thickness in several 10mu. The band 1 is bunched unhardened in a plurality of pieces via the themosetting adhesive 3 to a lamination to form the bunch 2. The bunch 2 is introduced into a metal mold device 10 for pressure molding. The device 10 is so constructed that the bunch 2 is clamped from four directions for example by the receiving dies 11, 12 and precessing dies 14, 15 and pressed by the presser 13. The molded bunch 2 is cut by a rotary grindstone, etc. at the part thereof which is not inserted into the device 10 for the formation of the compact 20 in E type, etc. Next, the compact 20 is heat- treated at fixed temperature to harden the adhesive 3 and simultaneously anneal-treat amorphous magnetic alloy. Thus, the magnetic core in E, U, I type, etc. of arbitrary sizes can be obtained.
