Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the molding accuracy of the shaft insulating rotor by forming an excess portion of the insulator as a projection when compressing the insulator mounted on the periphery of the shaft with a molding die and inserting the projection into a groove formed in an iron core shaft hole, thereby providing a margin in the insulator mounting amount. CONSTITUTION:After mounting fiber-filled resin insulator 12 on the outer periphery of the shaft 11, the insulator 12 is interposed between the molding dies C and D, and is thermally compressed. Recesses 19, 20 are formed on the dies C and D respectively, and serve to absorb the sag of the excess resin when compressing the insulator and to form projections 13, 14. Grooves 15, 16 are formed axially on the shaft hole of an iron core 17. When inserting the shaft into the shaft hole, the projections 13, 14 are inserted into the grooves 15, 16 respectively. In this manner a margin is provided in the mounting amount of the insulator 12, and the molding accuracy can be improved, and the insulating property of the insulator may not be lost.
