When a microcomputer 1 has a malfunction, the period properties are lost for the output given through the port P4 or no pulse is delivered to secure the same state under which the pulse is delivered from the port P0. In such way, the overall constitution can be simplified and at the same time a malfunction of a microcomputer can be assuredly detected.
